Interview: Want To Learn From Pavle Djurdjevic

on

Pavle Djurdjevic is a true inspiration. Originally from Bosnia, his videos are viewed by hundreds of thousands around the world.

He is best known for “street workout” where he does breathtaking and amazing stunts on the bars.

He is the definition of hard word and determination.

According to Pavle there’s always time to train, “Rain, sun, snow, wind. There is no bad or good time. There is only time for training.”

For him success is; “The more you hurt, the stronger you will be. The faster you fall the quicker you will rise. And when you start from the bottom headed to the top, nothing will stop you. You will have to overcome an opponent. It will be there to tell you, ‘It’s cold, it’s hard, you’re not good enough. You don’t need that in your life, what are you trying to do?’ …. you are your greatest opponent. But if you believe enough, you will succeed.”

Great words of wisdom to live by.

I was incredibly excited to interview Pavle and get his take on the world, his training, and his philosophy in general.

Here is the interview.

Thank you Pavle for your time. To begin….

Could you tell us a little bit about you, your background and how you got into bodyweight training?

Well I’m 21 years old (1994), I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina – Serbian Republic, I’m a CEO of Bar Legion team, here in Banja Luka. 3 years ago I saw a video from Denis Minin, so I started to make my own videos, and tried to do all the tricks from his videos.

What do you think are the biggest challenges or obstacles for someone starting out in bodyweight training?

Probably that if you haven’t had any training beforehand, it might be hard, but I think that bodyweight training is the best way to stay fit and in good condition during one’s life. You can basically do bodyweight training anywhere, and that’s the main point of street workout.

What’s the most important habit that you think has contributed to your success both with your website and your YouTube channel?

I think I’m so popular on YouTube because I’m an honest guy. I always try to help people and share my knowledge with them, and as a result I have become well-known.  But I don’t feel like I am different, I’m a normal human being like all the other YouTubers, and the success I have will never stop me from being what I really am – a positive, crazy and unstoppable dreamer.

What’s the most important life lesson you have learned thus far?

That time is everything. You must be patient.  It’s not easy, it’s very hard. Especially in your mind and in your life, with all the obstacles we face, but there are happy moments too.  If you are ready to work and be patient, success will come in one way or another.

How long would it take you today to mentor somebody to your same level of success that you have?

I think much more faster, because I know now how to go about it, but it all depends on the person, because I can’t walk in their shoes.

In one sentence or phrase how would you define success?

Keep dreaming, because dreams can be real if you believe enough in them.

Who are your mentors, who inspires you and why?

My inspirations are people from my life, like my family and friends. And worldwide examples of people who don’t give up on the first signs of pain and failures. People like Adam Raw, Denis Minin, Simonster..

What is the most important book and or movie you have read or watched and why?

It’s  definitely Metro 2033 and Metro 2034, from the writer Dmitry Glukhovsky, I read a lot, but those books show us the real face of mankind, and who we really are.

What was the most difficult decision you had to make and why?

To rest over 4 months because of my arm injury, that was the hardest mind battle for me.

What was the best decision you made and why?

My best decision, I can’t say that there is just one, it’s a combination of every day decisions, so I really can’t say one thing was the trigger of my success or anything else.

Thanks a million Pavle, it was definitely a pleasure to meet you.
